Working on additional Manuscripts

I have several manuscripts in draft.

Aside from these manuscripts, I am also planning a sequel series to the Bermuda’s Secret Series which I completed last year.

As an aspiring or even an accomplished author, do you have methods for how to dream up and write your stories or even stand-alone books? I’d love to know your thoughts in the comment section below.

Pertaining to how I do things, when I get an idea, I immediately start a draft manuscript to start furiously typing a premise. That way, I tend not to forget the idea. I can always revisit the manuscript later to reassess the idea. If it still has merit after the “heat of the moment” writing, then I will build it out a little more. This is then something I will repeatedly add to daily.

As I write this post, it has been raining for the past two days in the Midwest USA, where I am located. This fact alone has made me more productive in writing my blog posts, both here in this site and in Wealthy Affiliate, where I am a member!

Both established and aspiring authors should also take advantage of rainy days to get more work done on their various projects. If that is not possible, then we should always choose a time of day that is beneficial to getting some writing done. I find that I am able to get a little writing done every single day, but then I have been self-employed for almost 31 years.

I used to carry around a spiral notebook, and anytime there was an idle minute, I would jot down a few lines in the current book that I was writing. Every little bit of writing helps. It all adds up!

I have fifteen volumes in paperback with 4,277 pages that can attest to that! This beginning series was definitely a labor of love. I have sold several volumes, but I am building this website to help drive traffic to, not only this series, but other books that I have written, as well. I’ll also venture more into Social Media to link to this site too.

This will also be beneficial for the books I am currently writing, along with the sequel series to Bermuda’s Secret that I am also writing.

You have to have the desire and the inherent WANT to do this!

It is possible for anyone to write a book, as long as there is the “want” and more importantly, the will behind it. This is not an endeavor that is easy, nor should it ever be taken that way. It has easily taken me a good 25 years to finally reach the point where I finally realized my dream. Now, I am realizing it even more as I continue to progress.

Even then, there is still a lot of work to do to continue that series to get it to connect with the original book I had written so long ago. As with any worthwhile job or task, writing a book (or books) takes patience and perseverance!

As I have said on many occasions, I believe that ALL of us have at least one book in us! Others likely have a great many more!

What are you waiting for? Go get that book or book series started!
