Current troubling events being what they are, and all of us not being able to do very much aside from watching the grim events unfolding can be very disconcerting. No matter what, there IS something that we can do to escape reality for 15 to 30 minutes.
I am guilty of this too, but with the current bad news, and the seemingly unraveling of the world, we are transfixed by all that we are seeing and reading about. It can be overwhelming. For the many of us that are authors or aspiring authors, there is, at least a temporary means of escaping reality, and at the very same time, furthering our writing aspirations!
This is also something that we can do daily! We can continue pursing our goals to be writers!
Our Writing Can Calm Us Down And Reground Us Momentarily!
There is absolutely nothing that we can change in this current world, but there IS a way that we can escape the horror for a while.
Does anyone know what I am talking about?
No answers? Let me lay that out for you–WE CAN WRITE!
Not only can we momentarily escape, but at the very same time, we can make strides towards our goals of being bona-fide authors!
Even if it is for a short time, we can still escape to another word or topic of our own choosing! That is what is reflected by our writing!
I found solace and productivity with my writing, especially when I was recovering from a partial right foot amputation in December of 2015!
This ultimately became my first Bermuda’s Secret Series!
I was, and still am, very excited about accomplishing that! It consists of 15 volumes and 4,277 pages! I have sold a bit, but now I need to market them better. There always seems to be something else to do.
Even now, I will start writing another stand-alone novel, while also trying to get the second Bermuda’s Secret Series firmly off the ground in the near future! Late Fall and early Winter are the best times for me to write!
In Closing, Why Not Escape, If Not For A Just A Few Minutes And Start Furthering Your Writing Goals?
I can almost guarantee that you will certainly be glad that you did! Not only that, but you will further your writing goals forward in some small way!
That was how I did it, and it worked for me. That is still the way that I do it!
It can also work for all of you, as well!
