There is no schedule of when the time to write is! As Authors, or even Budding authors, we must write the moment that the writing muse strikes whether we are ready for it or not!
There is no alternative to this–the time must be made to seize the moment when it strikes! When we try to put that off, it can be potentially disastrous! We must make time to do this when we are “in the zone”!
As authors (or budding authors) we already know this to be true.
Every Single Day We Have An Opportunity To Write! We Should Be Able To Readily Recognize Such Opportunities When They Arise!
Me? I usually have several writing projects in various stages of completion, and for me, that is a very good thing, indeed. When the writing muse strikes, I simply assign what I am being compelled to write write all of a sudden to whatever work that I currently have in draft.
This makes it so much more easier to not lose a very important idea when it hits me out of the blue! I also carry a pocket notebook with me if I am away from my computer.
Just think, have any of you laid down the best plans to capture ideas, and then suddenly forgot all about it? Yes, I raise my hand! I have done that on many occasions!
If I had stopped writing when the opportunities were not ideal, then I never would have gotten my first Bermuda’s Secret book series completed!
Then, where would that have left me?
We have to steadily persevere to where it is that we wish to be after having the honor of being able to be recognized by a prestigious writing school like many may have done already.
Just think! Only one mental error or minor mistake could have cost the students that blew off all of their other opportunities, but for the lack of knowledge.
If You Have The Writing Bug, then This is Easy Pickings!
On the other hand, this might not work the best for you, since one needs to be very serious, in order to achieve their goals!
This preamble is where you must make certain that this might turn out to be a total failure! If you persevere through this, then you could also turn this into a total success!
These scenarios can present themselves every single day when we are established authors!
In Conclusion, We, As Authors, Should Be ready and Willing to Adapt to the Writing Opportunities When They Come Our Way!
We simply never know when the writing muse will take control of us, so we need to learn how to adapt to each new circumstance accordingly.
We must always take advantage of idle time that presents itself to us, in order to write on what ever project that we are working on. After all, time is a finite resource!
