A few words on my newest manuscript

It is due for release within the next one to two months!

I even have a tentative title in mind for this unique upcoming book. So far, the title in mind is Ramblings of a Professional Blogger (or Stepfather). I’m still mulling titles over in my head as I continue to write the book.

Method for writing this type of manuscript.

When I come up with ideas for my stand-alone books such as this particular one, I actually open a Word document, and throughout the day write whatever comes to mind while I am blogging and add it to the manuscript in no particular order.

Then, when I feel that sufficient material has been garnered for a book, it is then time to start the tedious process of editing. Over the days amid my other activities, a book has essentially been written.

One must decide things like how long they want the book to be, topics, and potentially genre! After that, the dreaded editing begins! For those you who have done editing, you know exactly what I mean! It is a tedious and many times, thankless, endeavor, but it is so critical to getting a good book out there!

When we deem that the manuscript is complete, the painstaking process of editing comes to the fore!

Ah, the writing of the manuscript is not the most tedious process that we will encounter.

The painstaking process that many of you will discover, is the edting process of said manuscript!

Many times, this might take 3-4 times as long as it took us to write the entire manuscript!

At the end of the day, since I specifically use Amazon’s Kindle Direct Publishing platform, and also use their corresponding cover creator, I will have this new book up in short order once the editing is done.

As is the case with whatever publishing platform we use the critical key will always and continue to be Marketing, Marketing, and then even more Marketing!

This is something that I am diligently trying to learn right now too!

Remember, anyone CAN write a book. It is the mechanics behind the writing of a book that are so integral to the book’s ultimate success or failure.

Now knowing this, what are you waiting for? The writing of the book is the easiest part. Get motivated and get writing. Once you have a complete and properly edited book manuscript, that is when the down and dirty work becomes real!

Before any of that happens though, we must have a book manuscript ready!

Until next time, keep writing!
