Having a personalized story that you relate to can definitely be the way to go when you are just starting out writing.
It doesn’t have to be a love story either, just something you are personally familiar or involved with will suffice. This is because the story you are writing is a personal experience of yours. That eliminates a lot of things you would normally have to do when preparing to write a book: research, character development, storyline, plot, and the list goes on.
These are just some things to ponder if you are getting started in the writing game. Moreover, when you publish that work, you will already have a work in your writing portfolio!
