Surprisingly, there are quite a few ways available to do this!
Youtube is, of course, in my opinion, the best way to promote a book that you have either written, or are planning to write! I only know this from others who have successfully done so, but I will also be panning on doing this shortly too. This post is for me as much as anyone else!
Below are some very good suggestions from a routine Google search. In this post we are going to explore some of these more in depth.
- Best Practices for Non-Fiction (or perhaps, Fiction) Book Promotion on YouTube.
- Get as much publicity as you possibly can and are comfortable about doing. Use Social media liberally to talk about your book. Since I don’t write non-fiction right now, I still feel that this will ultimately work to promote my Bermuda’s Secret book series. (This is something that I still need to do).
- Ask organizations that may focus on your topic or genre to post a blog article that you’ve written. This part will require some research, but then what doesn’t these days?
- Ask family and friends to write online reviews of your nonfiction or fiction books. This is essentially done on Amazon’s KDP when people purchase and read your book. Of course, these are not guaranteed either.
- Start introducing People to your book in Social Media posts.
- I don’t particularly like Social Media, but at the same time, I realize that it is the way of the world today to get the message out there. If you do it tactfully, you won’t even need to spend any advertising money either.
- Partner With Different but effective Influencers.
- The primary question here is: Who are these influencers? The answer to this question will also require research.
- Find various Experts and get them to Review Your Book.
- Again, the primary question here is: Who are these “Experts”? Again, the answer to this question will also require research.
- Make a video trailer for your Book.
- Now, finally, this should be easy enough to do IF you have experience in making videos. (This alone would fill probably a few future posts.)
- Make a Series of Video “Book Readings”
- See the sub-bullet above. This will not be a problem for those who are good at making videos.
Now that we have some idea about what to do concerning book promotion on video, the next steps are to TAKE ACTION!
Just because we are authors, or are in the process of writing our book, or perhaps are doing both, as I am, we now need to start thing towards videos and Social Media promotion!
There are so many ways that we can do this, and that is why we need to do the research to decide what will best work for each of us in our current situations and progress points. This small post only touches upon the vast array of ways to promote your book using videos online!
Until then, KEEP WRITING, my friends!
